The Stephen Ministry is a lay caring ministry that aims to increase care and outreach to hurting people. Stephen Ministers provide one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people experiencing grief, unemployment, hospitalization, loneliness, divorce, financial stress, a terminal illness, or other life difficulties.
St. John Neumann started this outreach program to parishioners and those in our community just before COVID. We are now seeking additional caregivers who want to be trained to be a Stephen Minister. We are now organizing in-depth training sessions to begin this winter. We will be holding an information session on Saturday, October 26 from 9:45-1045am in Seton Rooms A & B - for anyone interested in finding out if this is the right ministry for you. The application process to serve as a Stephen Ministry Caregiver will be reviewed in detail.
Here are some testimonials from caregivers and care receivers.
